Organisation · group · 60+ people, in-house and contractors

Giving a team of 60 a clear direction again: who does what, who decides, who checks.

Outcome in this case: organisation chart redesigned, project-based management, QA function created.

Context

A technology department within a group, spread across several business lines, with more than 60 people between employees and contractors. The team had grown through successive additions.

The problem

Roles overlapped, priorities came in through several channels, and quality depended on everyone’s goodwill. Nobody could say simply who decided what.

What I did

  • A complete redesign of the organisation chart, with written responsibilities.
  • A move to project-based management, with priorities arbitrated in a single place.
  • The creation of a QA function, so that checking was no longer optional.
  • Harmonised tools and practices across the entities.

The outcome

A readable organisation: everyone knows what they own, decisions are made at the right level, and quality is checked before delivery.

What it can do for you

If your team has grown fast and decisions get lost, a diagnosis of the organisation shows within a few weeks where the knots are, and how to untie them without breaking everything.

Other cases.

Budget · group · several entities

Taking back control of an IT budget: reading what you pay for, making the calls, bringing recurring costs down without breaking what works.
